I really don't think Ethel liked Hispanics or blacks,
My mother in law, Ethel Kennedy, Bobby’s mother, passed this morning. It has been my great honor to have shared laughter and love with Ethel,
She always made me laugh. She was never too serious except when she needed to be. She dressed to nines with bare feet. She will be missed. My love is with the family,
I pretty well lived in the moment. And I was blessed with faith,
Ethel has lived with the rumors for fifty years and she says she long ago stopped listening to or reading them
The two were closer than any brothers had been at high levels of government, talking in a private code, perpetually interrupting each other and finishing each other's sentences.
She awakened his sympathy and his humor and brought him out emotionally,
My mother has had more tragedy in her lifetime than anyone should,
Bobby might share the same name as our father, but he does not share the same values, vision or judgment."
Every day she enjoyed time with her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was able to get out on the water, visit the pier, and enjoy many lunches and dinners with family. It has been a gift to all of us and to her as well,
I knew how difficult it was going to be for her to raise that big family without the guiding role and influence that Bobby would have provided, ... And, of course, she realized this too, fully and keenly. Yet she did not give way.”
Of all the Kennedy women, she was the one I would end up admiring the most,
She was a devout Catholic and a daily communicant, and we are comforted in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life, our father, Robert. F. Kennedy; her children David and Michael; her daughter-in-law Mary; her grandchildren Maeve and Saorise and her great-grandchildren Gideon and Josie. Please keep our mother in your hearts and prayers,
Petite and peppy Ethel, who doesn’t look one bit the outdoorsy type, considers outdoor activity so important for the children that she has arranged her busy Cabinet-wife schedule so she can personally take them on two daily outings,
People have a distinct liking for Americans,
One wonders how much this family must be expected to absorb,
Our family and our country suffered an unspeakable loss due to the inhumanity of one man,
For anyone to achieve something, he must have to show a little courage. You're only on this earth once. You must give it all you've got,
It is with our hearts full of love that we announce the passing of our amazing grandmother, Ethel Kennedy. She died this morning from complications related to a stroke suffered last week. Along with a lifetime's work in social justice and human rights, our mother leaves behind nine children, 34 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom love her dearly,
She has had a great summer and transition into fall,
