My hope for all of their futures is to find families who will treat them right and love them forever
Look at this pile of the debris right over here to my left-hand side. About two seconds ago, we just pulled out this little, tiny dog named Benji who has been missing now since last night."
He got Benji! He got Benji, oh my goodness! I cannot believe I'm starting this right now with some happy news."
We are raising funds to cover the continued care of Lulu and Shiba. Lulu, who was shaken up, is receiving necessary veterinary care, while Shiba, who was presumed lost, was later discovered and reunited with us."
These dogs were everything to Alejandro, and we are committed to providing them with the love, medical attention, and safe home they need as they recover from this traumatic event."
This is like nothing other we've seen,
We are still learning about their personalities and behaviors to find out what the ideal home would be for them,
We opened spaces for them to help in the areas that are having issues so that they have space to help those displaced dogs so that their owners can come find their pets while they are down there,
This is incredible!! Thank you for taking them in!!!
Everyone meet the 12 adult dogs and 2 litters of puppies we pulled from the Hurricane Helene! Welcome to PAC sweet babies!! We can't wait to help you find your furever homes!!
I might need to drive to Philly to adopt one of these little guys."
All beautiful and I hope they will find their forever homes soon."
It’s quite a lot of travel for those dogs,
They were afraid they’d drown or be killed,
All animals have to be cleared by a veterinarian to travel, so they have to be healthy and in good shape so that they don’t run into any medical complications while in transit,
But some of the beautiful things that come out of these types of situations are the partnerships that emerge. You’ve got shelters helping other shelters, rescues stepping up to help. So it’s a really an animal welfare community-wide effort.”
I think the main message that the public has to understand is the impacts of when adopting from a shelter, they’re actually saving two lives,
We can make more space for more of these animals to come. Because we don’t know what the situation looks like right now on the ground, if any of the shelter facilities where these animals originated from are still standing and whether they’re going to be operational moving forward,
