Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Chief Herzi Halevi has labeled Hezbollah's recent drone strike on an Israeli military base "difficult and painful." The attack, which killed four soldiers and injured dozens, targeted a Golani Brigade training base near Tel Aviv.
A Hezbollah drone evaded Israel’s much vaunted air defences on Sunday and struck a military canteen when it was busy with soldiers eating dinner.
Their mission is to protect Israel from incoming ballistic missiles fired by Iran.
The Lebanon-based Hezbollah earlier claimed responsibility and called the attack retaliation for Israeli strikes on Beirut on Thursday that killed 22 people.
