Somebody once wrote, and I’m not preaching, I’m just telling you, that there’s a time for everything under the sun, you’ve heard that,
I know it has passed its safety inspections,
We would like to send our prayers and condolences to everyone involved,
They're just ridiculously safe,
We don't know if the door malfunctioned or not or if something else occurred. There's a lot that goes on in these little elevators,
All I know is that he was a good man, and he loved his job,
Everybody will be in mourning when they realize who it is,
Without their help, we may not have been able to get people up out of there,
This is a county tragedy,
We know that at 500ft is where the issue occurred,
We did lose a person in our local community who will be missed, who is the father of a child and has family in the area
I’m lost for words to hear the terrible news
We would like to send our prayers and condolences to everyone involved. We would also like to thank all of the first responders and emergency personnel who helped us through such a difficult time. The Mollie Kathleen will be closed until further notice,
We are immensely grateful for the quick response of all the agencies involved and are holding everyone in our prayers,
Currently we don't know what happened at 500 feet to cause this,
Anytime you're dealing with machinery and a 1,000 foot level at the 500 feet level in a mine, there could be accidents,
Entering the mine is comparable to riding an elevator,
That's because I want to keep people calm."
I am relieved that 12 of the people trapped in the Mollie Kathleen Mine have been safely rescued. Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the individual lost in this incident,
They are safe at the 1,000-foot level,
